This is the final official VSS sailing event.
Both classes will start using the same starting procedure and sailing the same course.
Class A and B will use a Pursuit Start for the first race.
Warning signal will be sounded at 1255 and the Hot Pink Class flag and the Yellow Class will be flown. At 1300 the race will start and both the Hot Pink Class flag will and Yellow Class flag will come down.
All boats participating must check in with the Race Committee before the 5 minute warning.
These are Pursuit Races, and you must start after the assigned time for your boat in the configuration you intend to use. Class B will be permitted to fly a spinnaker provided you notify the Race Committee prior to the 5 minute warning of the configuration you will use.
The Start Times of the boats we know about are attached.
Nominally, the first start will be at 1:00 PM and the warning will be at 12:55 PM, with a possibility of two one half hour postponements.
If for any reason, the Race Committee decides to postpone, they will make an announcement on Channel 69 and will attempt to make a sound signal and display the postponement flag. Before the start they will remove the AP pennant and rerun the starting sequence, but as before, the responsibility to start at the right time is yours.
