It’s a full moon at sunset cruise and pizza party. The VSS is taking over Casey Key, this time it's for the annual Last Dog Watch. Our fleet will be cruising at sunsetand watching the September Harvest Moon rise. This event features the full moon rising at the same time our spectacular Gulf coast sun sets.
Boats are assembling on the evening September 16th at 1900, off Venice Beach. Members wanting to cruise on a boat are requested to be at the docks of the old coast guard station, across from Nokomis Beach on by 18.15. Boats will depart Casey Key at 18.30 to join the flotilla in watching the celestial show at sea. Weather permitting we willcruise the sunset and rising full moon in the Gulf waters off Casey Key. We return to the county picnic tables on the Key at 20.00 to feast on pizza and share sailing stories under a full moon.
The VSS member cost is $5 and their guests $8. The event is a BYOB function.
